How SomaPay collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Information we collect

To open and operate a SomaPay wallet, we collect the information you provide directly — your name, email, phone number and payment details — along with information generated as you use the service, such as transaction records, card activity and device information.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your SomaPay account and card
  • To process top-ups, payments and transfers
  • To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access
  • To send transaction alerts and account notifications
  • To improve the SomaPay app and support experience

3. How we protect your data

All transactions and stored account data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to sensitive systems is restricted to authorised personnel, and card numbers are never displayed in full within the app or on physical cards.

4. Sharing your information

We share information only with payment processors, banking partners and service providers necessary to operate SomaPay, and only to the extent required to provide the service. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request that your account be closed and your data deleted, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.

6. Data retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as required by financial recordkeeping regulations.
